All of our
flags
are dye sublimated
on an outdoor fabric. The life expectancy of flags can vary significantly based on several factors. First and foremost is "mother nature". Heavy winds will cause the unattached end of the flag to "whip" which serves to essentially beat itself up. The intensity and duration of these winds will reduce the longevity of the flag. The sun and rain also serve to degrade the fabric while at the same time fading the image. We recommend taking flags in at night and during stormy weather. If this procedure is followed, you can expect a flag to last six months to a year or longer.
As the photo on this page illustrates, our custom "open flags" are cut at a 45 degree angle so that the image can be read whether or not the wind is blowing. They can be ordered as one piece of fabric or two sewn back-to-back with a liner. If you look closely, you can see that this "open flag" has a "flag rider" attached using velcro sewn across the bottom of the flag. This option is a low cost way for your customers to communicate short messages inexpensively to their community. The message opportunities are endless! Contact us for both the "open flag" and "flag rider" design templates. We sell the "non-furling" hardware as well!
